Assign Onward Recorder
The Source of Truth
AOR software is a server which appends new blocks onto the blockchains it serves. In its simplest form AOR can act as a single point of truth which gets quickly replicated by cooperating AOV validators, or with additional development (and complexity) it can use more sophisticated consensus mechanisms to decide what each new block should contain.
The primary functions of AOR are to:
- Keep the blockchain record (for one or more blockchains)
- Serve copies of the blockchain records upon request
- Handle new assignment recording requests
- Validate the assignment record against the existing blockchain
- Append valid new assignment records to the blockchain
